Paideia Stories generates a unique, illustrated bedtime story personalized to your child every night — and delivers it directly to your email inbox at the time you choose. No app to open. No subscription box to manage. Just a story waiting for you at bedtime, ready to read aloud.

When you set up your child's profile, you tell us their name, age, appearance (hair, eyes, skin tone), interests, any themes to avoid, and their educational focus. Every story is generated fresh using this profile — your child appears as the central character, the story reflects their interests, and the vocabulary and complexity match their age tier. No two children receive the same story.

Each story includes illustrated scenes generated to match your child's physical description — their hair color and style, eye color, skin tone, and gender. The character won't be a photograph of your child, but a warm, storybook-style illustration of a character that looks like them. Many parents tell us their children immediately recognize "themselves" in the images.

One new story every night — 365 per year. Each story is generated fresh and unique. Your child will never receive a repeat.

You choose the delivery time during setup — for example, 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM in your local timezone. The story arrives in your inbox at that time, ready to read at bedtime. You can update your delivery time from your account page at any time.

Yes — we have a full sample story you can read right now. It shows the exact format, illustration style, vocabulary section, and moral that arrive in your inbox every night.

We support children from birth through age 10, across four tiers:

Dreamlings (0–2): Short, rhythmic, soothing — ~75 words, 6 illustrated scenes.
Sprouts (3–5): Warm and playful — ~250 words, 5 scenes, 2–3 new vocabulary words.
Readers (6–8): Classic storybook arc — ~500 words, 4 scenes, richer vocabulary.
Explorers (9–10): Sophisticated narratives — ~800 words, 3 scenes, complex vocabulary introduced naturally.

The Single plan ($25/month) supports one child profile. The Family plan ($39/month) supports up to 4 children — each with their own profile, their own story, and their own delivery time. Each child receives a completely different, personalized story every night.

Yes. If you start on the Single plan, you can upgrade to the Family plan at any time to add up to 3 more children. Contact us at stories@paideiastories.com to upgrade your plan.

Yes. Annual plans save you about two months compared to monthly:

Annual Single: $249/year (vs $300 monthly) — save $51.
Annual Family: $390/year (vs $468 monthly) — save $78.

You can choose annual or monthly when you start your free trial.

You get 7 days completely free. Your first story arrives tonight. We ask for a payment method upfront to start the trial, but you will not be charged until day 8. You can cancel any time during the trial at no cost.

After 7 days, your plan renews automatically and your card is charged. Stories continue uninterrupted. You'll receive an email reminder before the trial ends.

You can cancel any time from your account page — no phone calls, no forms. Stories continue until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods already paid.

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor used by millions of businesses. We never store your card details.

Your child's profile information (name, age, appearance, interests) is used only to generate their personalized stories. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for any other purpose. You can read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Yes. Every story is generated with strict content guidelines — no violence, no scary themes, no inappropriate content. You can also specify themes to avoid in your child's profile (for example, "no spiders" or "no loud noises"). Stories are calibrated to your child's exact age tier.

Yes. Email us at stories@paideiastories.com and we will delete your child's profile and all associated story history within 30 days.
